It’s a mistake to think of technology as outside nature.

Nature created us and we created tools for ourselves, to achieve what we are programmed to do. One could say It’s in our nature to create increasingly better tools to achieve something.

So in my opinion I see no divide between appreciating a piece of art, playing a musical instrument, singing, dancing and appreciating the experience of using a machine.

One can appreciate the beauty of a tree, a flower or human ingéniosity that gave you the ability to read this article written by someone you have never met, living miles away. And yet you might be able to get something from it that will create new neural connections in your brain. We are interconnected. How beautiful is that?

I can be in awe as much with a sculpture of Michaelangelo, than with the beauty of flowers and their colours (especially if you know those are designed to be a bait for insects to pollinate them) a great movie, the magic of a cell phone and the internet. All are beautiful to me.

I see no difference between Our technology and nature. Creating technologies with increasing complexity is in our nature. We don’t think of it as such but even language is a technology.

All are technologies made of human ingéniosity. Beavers shape their environments.. monkeys use tools, so do octopuses. Algaes have transformed our whole ecosystem by filling it with oxygen.

All living forms are shape their environment and shape their environment. It’s in the nature of all living forms. Including us.

I don’t see no disconnect anywhere between the two concepts of nature and technology. Life as we know it is an innovation of nature.

´Nature´ a made up concept. Everything is made up of the same materials.

Maybe it’s time we finally include ourselves in it.
